Big Rain Indie World Country has selected Big Rain as their Vocal Group of the Year! Upon hearing the news, Bruce Guynn of Big Rain said "It is an honor to be elected the IndieWorld 2006 award winner for best Vocal Group of the Year. We want to say thank you to the IndieWorld Country Report, its Staff, and all the Panel Members...With so many talented Artists to choose from, it is not only an honor for us to be included, but we are very thankful to have had this opportunity, and to be recognized for what we do."

Big Rain features a core trio of Bruce Guynn, Peter Alamo, and James Chatterton. Bruce Guynn handles lead vocals, bass guitar, and keyboards. Peter Alamo plays lead and rhythm guitars and sings vocal harmony. James Chatterton adds guitars and piano. Big Rain has been performing nonstop for eleven years. The band’s dynamic sound is built on superb songwriting and vocals. Their current single is "December Night", and can be found on their self-titled cd.

Music and Arts Festival at Flye Point

The Fourth Annual Downeast Properties Music and Arts Festival at Flye Point will take place Saturday June 23, 2007 from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM on the shore at the Lookout Inn in Brooklin Maine. An incredible line-up of musicians representing some of the finest established artist and the brightest rising stars, along with the breathtaking beauty of Flye Point, combine to  kick off the summer  with an unforgettable day on the shore.

THE LOOKOUT is a unique country inn located on the Coast of Maine. It has been owned and operated by the descendants of the Flye family for over 100 years. The name Lookout came about as early as 1760 when the Flye family had to post a sentry on the hill overlooking Blue Hill Bay to watch for unfriendly Indians coming from the north.

 
  Comprising thirty-one acres  of some of the most beautiful scenery found anywhere, The Lookout is the perfect location for this outdoor music event.

Current owner and operator, Flye Family descendant Robert (Butch) Smith has operated the inn, restaurant, and cabins for thirty years. The Lookout has always been a place where out of town visitors enjoying an escape or  Brooklin locals spending an afternoon on the shore, have found an unforgettable beauty and magic.
